Final Reading Minutes

The Final number submitted to Scholastic and the Utah Jazz:

454.2 minutes per student here at Riverview! 

We actually read more than that, but that's the amount we had turned in by Tuesday morning!  Pretty impressive considering we are a brand new school!  We have a few prizes to give away, and we will be doing that during announcements Monday, February 27th. We have our two autographed books, two autographed photographs of Gordon Hayward and Paul Millsap, and TWO TICKETS to a JAZZ game!  I SO wish I could win!  =) We will post those lucky winners after they are announced on Monday.

An update on our Jazz Reading Contest...

Tuesday is the day your teachers need to turn in to me all your reading minutes over the last few weeks... TUESDAY!!  Wow! This has whizzed by!  We have a looooong weekend to READ, so get busy reading!  We need to accumulate as many reading minutes as we possibly can before Tuesday!  READ, READ, READ!!

This week in the library we will be GIVING AWAY NEW BOOKS!!  I don't know about you, but I LOVE new books!  If you have participated in our "Be a Team Player - READ!" Jazz reading contest, you can put your name in a drawing for a new book.  One new book per class will be given away, and at the end of the competition we will be giving away TWO books that have been autographed by two Jazz players, #25 Al Jefferson, and #8 Josh Howard!
